Andrew Grant (Group Managing Director)

Andrew focuses on the overall business strategy as well as managing new business and marketing and PR across the group. He is the guardian of the Nation1 Way, working with the Board and our advisors to ensure the continual evolution of our culture and work practices. Andrew started Nation1 and the sky isn’t even the limit – because there is no limit. He eyes expansion in Europe, Asia and ever greater success for the agency. Andrew is a member of The Entrepreneurial Exchange and, as a University of Strathclyde alumnus, helps the institution build business excellence.

Mark McIntosh (Glasgow Creative Director)

Mark has enjoyed an award-winning career at some of Scotland’s most respected digital and design agencies and has counted All Saints, MTV, BT Cellnet, Radio1, Burger King and ITV among his clients. Mark manages the creative team in Glasgow. He’s in charge of delivering pitches and projects on time while ensuring the highest standard of creative output. He also handles traffic management and creative staff recruitment and training.

John Henderson (London Creative Director)

John is an integrated copywriter with nearly 10 years’ experience in the direct marketing and digital industries. His most recent role has seen him spend two years as Creative Business Partner at RMG Connect, running a team of 20 and overseeing the integrated accounts of Shell and Listerine, and HSBC's Ferrari Sponsorship and website. John is developing our London office with joint responsibility for London commercial KPIs, client management, marketing, PR and new business. He is a driving force behind both technical and creative innovation across the group, with key input into Nation1 branding, positioning and overall strategy. He also operates in a senior account planning role.

Suzanne Morrow (Online Marketing Executive)

Suzanne, Nation1's most recent recruit took her first forays into editorial after moving to London. Her work portfolio includes digital marketing and search and technology. From there she moved into content management and new media marketing, and has become an expert in creating buzz with social marketing. She’s been delivering results for her clients, getting them national press attention, delivering measurable results, healthy ROIs and getting them moving up the search rankings. Interesting fact: she once appeared as a dead body in Taggart. Her auntie still has the video.

Donna Canning (Project Manager)

Donna is responsible for the day-to-day management of projects. Hers is the friendly face that will meet with you and keep you up-to-date with project progress. Donna keeps everything on budget and on time. She also ensures the Nation1 Cycle of Service is followed and that your experience of working with Nation1 is the best in the industry. She has also got a hands in with the credit control which her Financial Mathematics degree comes in very handy!

Amy Tolhurst (Account Director)


Amy started her career as an online media buyer for PHD before being headhunted to join Universal Music where she headed up their digital compilation department delivering digital marketing campaigns for UK album releases. Before joining Nation1 she moved to MediaVest where she oversaw a team of ten digital planners and buyers and was responsible for research, planning, developing digital media strategy, pitching and project management across a portfolio of clients which included Capital One.

Craig McGill (Online PR)

Craig McGill has been a professional communicator for 20 years, working as a journalist and sub-editor for the likes of The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Daily Express, The Sun, The Daily Mirror, Herald and Scotsman as well as being the author of four acclaimed non-fiction books which were translated into numerous languages. He then moved into Public Relations for some of the UK's biggest brands and events, including Miss Scotland, Dawn Construction, Lloyds TSB Scotland, The Scottish Parliament, Retrofest, Kwik-Fit Insurance, the National Trust for Scotland and BrewDog.

Natascha Chadha (Project Manager - Mumbai)

Natascha Chadha, has a background in journalism and worked at Mexx International in the marketing communication department as the brand’s chief copywriter. She was responsible for setting the brand’s tone of voice, defining its values and writing and overseeing all copy-related communication (B2C, B2B, B2E, PR). She also launched Mexx’s consumer magazine Mexx Connect (circulation 600,000 European-wide) and authored the anniversary book: It Started with a Kiss: 20 Years of Mexx (BIS Publishers, 2006). In her spare time she can be seen on stage, where she enjoys dancing, singing and physical theatre.

Julie Cuthbertson (Office Manager)

Not only is Julie Nation1’s Office Manger but she also does the Accounts. Over the last 14 years Julie has gained her expertise in Office Administration and Accounts while working in a variety of industries from Interior Design to Printing. When Julie isn’t trying to balance the books or arranging the office with military like precision, she can be found in one of Glasgow’s many shoes shops or on the internet buying shoes. She loves them!

Brian Coit (Senior Developer)

Brian is our Senior Developer, he joins Nation1 with the vast experience of all things technical and internet related, proudly counting AllSaints, Reiss, Bench, Gio-Goi as clients, to name but a few. When he is not focusing on the delivery of all our web projects or maintaining our IT infrastructure, you will find him playing Urban Terror whilst listening to banging trance music!

Vicky Sinclair (Designer)

Vicky got a first class honours degree from Gray’s School of Art and won the BP Design Award for Best Design Student in her final year. Vicky’s mix of traditional and digital design brings that all-important feminine touch to the creative team. Her strong passion for illustration and attention to detail sets her apart from other designers out there. Already she is proud to call Quiver, Xscape and Macleans as some of her clients. When she is not scribbling and drawing Nation1 illustrations you’ll find her in the pub with a raft of charity shop bags full of vintage satchels and ridiculous shoulder pads (they make wearing a vintage satchel easier!)

William Brown (Developer)

William, programmer, thinker and programmer some more. Involved in the delivery of interactive front and back-end powered web sites with an interest in how users use and interact with websites from small-scale blogs to fully fledged high-street retail e-Commerce platforms. He is also responsible for design and development of iPhone applications developed using the Mac platform. Not only just a programmer; assisting with support of our web hosting servers and the deployment of internal software systems that aid our development process. Also practiced in the creation and management of email campaigns that make best use of trusted third-party service providers such as Campaign Monitor to maximize potential from email marketing campaigns.
